The Stingrays U-14 team played an outstanding match against AG. Solid effort in all phases of play. The Stingrays came out fast scoring 3 try's in the opening minutes. Forwards led by Owen R, Ryan and Owen E had AG on their heels, just in time for Mark to move the ball out to our speedy wings of Eric, Alias, and Leland. Aaron and Thomas played down to provide direction and experience to the team- in addition to countless cores and tackles. Thomas and Owen E kicked through 6 of 9 kicks. The match was over by halftime. In the second half AG adjusted with superior scrums and the play was more evenly matched--although the Stingrays still scored many more times. AG did punch across a hard-earned try near the end of the play.

While there is much we can improve, great fundamentals by the Stingrays led to a fantastic start to the season. Man of the Match this week was Eric for his many long runs and trys.
